EBAN held EurInvest – the Nation of Investors Road Show due to the 20th-anniversary celebration

The European Business Angels Network – EBAN has held the EurInvest – Nation of Investors Road Show to encourage European corporations and citizens to invest in European startups and scaleups and create the European Investor Land. The roadshow was held in the European Parliament under the auspices of Vivian Reding, former European Commission Vice-President.

Business angels on the road show, marking the 20th anniversary of EBAN,  hosted Amazon Web Services, the European Commission, Startup Europe, EUREKA, ELITE London Stock Exchange, AFME, ABAN, MBAN, LatAM BAN, InnoEnergy, ESA, SpaceTec Partners , EU Parliamentarians, Rising Tide Europe and Lean In EU Women Business Angels.

With the launch of the EBAN’s EurInvest – Nation of Investors roadshow, starts a series of activities, programs and conferences of business angels embarked throughout 2018, and will be launched in each of the 28 EU countries. At the very end, in January 2019, EBAN will celebrate its 20th anniversary, which will peak in June 2018 at the EBAN annual congress in Sofia when Bulgaria will chair the Council of the European Union.

Future partnerships have also been announced by Catalin Ticher of Startup Europe and EBAN President Candace Johnson. All Startup Europe events that will take place in 2018 and 2019 will become part of the EBAN’s EurInvest road show.

EBAN and Cornerstone Communications also released the first edition of “CEE Released” – a unique program with national stock exchanges and business angel networks for establishing quality standards in investor relations and capital access for new and emerging companies from Central and Eastern Europe. The goal of the annual CEE-Released project is to search, present and train the best CEE companies in the early stages of business and growth, which represent different sectors of the economy and operate on the domestic or international market.

Davorin Štetner, President of the EBAN CEE Zone and President of the Croatian Business Angels Network – CRANE, spoke at EurInvest in the European Parliament in front of European representatives and investors and said: “It is extremely important to provide easier access to venture capital companies. No matter how much money there is – access to it is still difficult to reach, and it needs to be changed. This program should change it.”
