The publication “Catalogue of entrepreneurial ideas” was presented at the Faculty of Economics and Tourism, Juraj Dobrila University of Pula. The educational program “Catalogue of entrepreneurial ideas” was designed as an activity of the SMART INNO IPA CBC project, financed by the European Union funds, in the form of a two-month workshop program where high school students and teachers acquired competencies in the area of application of creative and critical thinking in the creation and development of an entrepreneurial idea, learning the rules of the development of business plans, and conducting research for the purposes of the business plan. As a result of the program, the students’ work was published in the “Catalogue of entrepreneurial ideas” publication.
The goal of the program was to develop entrepreneurial spirit and creativity in young people, and to encourage entrepreneurship through self-employment and strengthening of competencies. The workshops of the “Catalogue of entrepreneurial ideas” were held by Katarina Kostelić, a member of the SMART INNO project team and economic subjects teacher.
The publication contains 15 students’ entrepreneurial ides in total. The best business plans “High-tech fire system,” “Sheep wool insulator,” and “War museum of Istra” were presented on May 21 2015 on the international science conference EU FUTURE PERSPECTIVES: Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Economic Policy, in front of business angels Davorin Štetner and Damir Mujić, and the wide audience within the workshops for entrepreneurs. “High-tech fire system” was designed by Filip Devčić, Michele Škofić, Sabina Omić and Matko Kotiga, high-school graduates from the Technical School of Pula. “Sheep wool insulator” is an entrepreneurial idea of Loredano Šćević, Natali Pliško, Stefano Peruška and Marino Faraguna, students of the School for Tourism, Catering and Trade in Pula, and the “War museum of Istra” was presented by the students of the Faculty of Economics and Tourism “Dr. Mijo Mirković” Corina Šćulac and Stefano Grgić, with the participation of Albina Mašić, Iva Hasić and Martina Motika in designing the plan.
The existing results are a motivation for further development of the educational program, assert SMART INNO team members Kostelić and Hlavati, and the project manager prof. Robert Zenzerović, Ph. D. The experience acquired through this educational cycle will be used in the modelling of the next one, planned for February 2016. Besides that, the established cooperation with the Croatian business angels network CRANE, Ethical finance association (Ethical bank) and Doniralica crowd funding will enable quality support for the young, future participants of the next cycle of the Catalogue of entrepreneurial ideas, organized by SMART INNO project.
