CRANEbrunch: Members hanging out in the new distillery

CRANE members gathered at CRANEbrunch this weekend, on a gathering of old and new members in Bestovje, more precisely in the Nimco brands and liqueur distillery of our member Nikola Serdar. The members had a chance to see what the plants look like and got to see the entire process of alcoholic beverage production.

Nimco has created more than 30 patent-protected products in 35 years. Some of them have been sold to international companies, and today they are developing a project aimed at higher barmen education and raising the quality of drinking. A special novelty is the new distillery of gin with the production of Five Corners gin which is the winner of the gold medal at the Stuttgart International Spirits Competition 2018.

Also, at this year’s “BISC 2018”, Nimco’s Vinjak that has been aged for 30 years won a silver medal despite its fierce competition, and the prestigious individual prize “Croatian Brandy of the Year”. They say that they like to call the business a family that loves to create drinks that they want to drink and they do not have a place to buy them.   

In addition to top-of-the-line liqueurs, CRANE’s members were also provided with food by “Meat The King”, a family-owned company specializing in the production and processing of meat of Croatian origin whose most famous product is the meat of Black Slavonian pigs. Their community includes a network of family farms and experts in livestock production.
