Investors Day 2017 – “share | learn | connect“ investors

Last week, Vienna hosted a conference for investors called “Investors day”. The conference was organized by the Austrians Angel Investors Association (AAIA), the European Business Angel Network (EBAN), the Austrian Venture Capital and Private Equity Organization (avco) and the Pioneers Festival & Speedinvest.

The leading investors of Central and Eastern Europe gathered at this exclusive one-day event. The investors were focused on the exchange of knowledge and ideas as a means of better connecting with each other and networking. The Croatian Business Angles Network (CRANE) was represented by its President, Davorin Štetner.

The theme of the conference was the interesting slogan and message: “share | learn | connect” investors.

During the conference, there were several panel discussions and presentations of various experiences by successful investors and also interesting and creative startup-s. Technology, investments, preparing investments for financing and VC funds are still the focus and a great interest of the attendees.

 The President of CRANE, Davorin Štetner, presented his ideas and experiences at the “Meet the super angels” panel, along with his colleagues Branko Drobnak, the President of the Slovenian Business Angels Network, Hansi Hansmann, an investor who has invested over €20 million into 45 startup-s and who is also the President of the Austrian Business Angels Network, and Antal Karolyi, the President of the Hungarian Business Angels Network.

Štetner pointed out the importance of cooperation and talked about the recently founded EBAN CEE cluster, which is gathering associations of business angels from Central and Eastern Europe. The cluster has recently made its first syndicated investment worth over 200,000 EUR into the Slovenian startup Datafy.
