Investors from six different countries, including six members of the Hungarian Business Angel Network (HunBAN), have backed 3,150,000 HRK endowment and an expertise deal with the Slovenian data-mining company Datafy.
Convinced by the team’s dedication and energy, six members of HunBAN have invested 375,000 HRK in Datafy.
This startup from Ljubljana that specializes in online marketing data is now supported by business angels from Hungary, Slovenia, Germany, Denmark, France, Switzerland and Hong Kong. Datafy has developed a unique algorithm which provides to more than 500 clients from the US, EU and Asia with automated data that they can access in a highly targeted way in order to put an end to „poorly targeted“ spam e-mails.
Igor Panjan, CEO of Datafy pointed out: “From the beginning, we have been searching for people with a wide business network and rich experience – which is more important than money.”
Niko Slavnić, as the main investor, had played a key role in the transaction.
HunBAN members claim that their vision is to establish a well-organized business network focused on new investments, especially in countries that often face the risk capital market challenges.
“This investment represents an important indicator that together we can do so much more. In the investment world, borders don’t exist anymore. The EBAN CEE zone is an important ecosystem, which core includes Croatia, Slovenia, Austria and Hungary. We are expecting even more good news soon!”, said Davorin Štetner, President of the EBAN Central-East zone.
