President of CRANE Appointed to the Economic Affairs Committee of the Croatian Parliament

At its fifth session held on February 21, 2025, the Croatian Parliament unanimously adopted, with 107 votes, the Decision on the Appointment of Members to the Economic Affairs Committee of the Croatian Parliament, among whom is Davorin Štetner, President of the Croatian Business Angels Network and Investors – CRANE.

Štetner’s candidacy, proposed by CRANE, was previously unanimously confirmed at a session of the Committee on Elections, Appointments and Administrative Affairs of the Croatian Parliament. The Economic Affairs Committee consists of 13 members from among Members of Parliament and six expert members from scientific and professional institutions. The Committee is chaired by Ivica Mesić.

A total of 29 candidates applied for the six expert member positions. In addition to Davorin Štetner, the appointed expert members include: Dr. Ratko Brnabić, Dean of the Faculty of Law in Split; Mladen Novosel, President of the Union of Autonomous Trade Unions of Croatia; Dr. Ivica Mišetić representing the Croatian Employers’ Association (HUP); Dr. Tomislav Radoš, Vice President of the Croatian Chamber of Economy (HGK); and Dalibor Kratohvil, President of the Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts.

This appointment marks yet another significant recognition of the work of the Croatian Business Angels Network – CRANE, founded in 2008, whose many members have, over the years, actively participated in the work of the highest state institutions.
