The representatives of the Croatian Business Angels Network (CRANE) – Davorin Štetner, the president of CRANE and Damir Mujić, CRANE’s board member, arrived in Tel Aviv yesterday late at night. The trip to Israel represents a continuation of cooperating with the Israeli Embassy at EBAN Winter University, the largest European conference of business angels which was co-organized by CRANE and the City of Zagreb and held last year in November in Zagreb. On the trip to Israel were also the representatives of the City of Zagreb – Frane Šesnić, the director of Zagreb Development Agency and Mirka Jozić, the head of the City office for Economy, Labor and Entrepreneurship.
The first day of the visit was focused on cultural exchange and learning about the Israeli history and their most famous sights. The delegation had visited Yad Vashem, the Holocaust memorial museum and toured the Old City of Jerusalem in the afternoon. In Jerusalem they visited the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Wailing Wall, the Mount of Olives and many other locations. The remaining two days were reserved for the meetings with Tel Aviv’s city representatives, the directors of prominent Israeli companies, the incubator and innovation centers’ managers and the local startup teams.
The delegation of CRANE and the City of Zagreb was accompanied by the representatives of Croatian startup Vollo that won a trip to Tel Aviv as a reward for their participation at the EBAN Winter University 2016 conference. This was a perfect opportunity for Vollo startup to establish new contacts, present their project to Israeli investors and exchange experiences with the local startup teams.
