Zagreb Brand Forum 2016 held

Zagreb Brand Forum 2016 was held in the Kraš auditorium. It is an international conference of the regional business club Biznis Plus, which gathered more than 350 participants, company owners, presidents, board members and experts who shared their thoughts on brand development and their business strategies.

Among the many conference guests, there were the Mayor Milan Bandić, Božo Skoko, a branding expert, Mirka Jozić, Head of the City Office for Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship, Davorin Štetner, President of CRANE, Darko Radišić, Board member of Kraš, Mladen Mirko Tepuš, Managing Director at Erste Card, and many others. At various roundtables they discussed the ways of measuring brand value with a special reference to the non-material part (Goodwill). Some of the topics were: “Investors, welcome to…”, “Global vs. local brands”, “Franchising, licensing, sharing – new development life of a brand” and “Start-up revolution – a new paradigm of investing” in which Davorin Štetner, President of CRANE, participated.

Some of the questions raised by the speakers were about the development of a brand, the place of origin and the duration of new brands, as well as the influence of start-ups on a faster recognition. A Brand academy was also held within the conference, as a series of workshops with an emphasis on raising awareness of the brands with the help of the internet.

At the conclusion of the conference, the Mayor, Milan Bandić, gathered the businessmen and women in the Palace Dverce, all from the wider region – Austria, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro, Turkey and the USA. The Mayor pointed out that the City of Zagreb is successfully positioning itself as the centre of business gatherings for this part of Europe, and in favour of that he mentioned the many conferences such as Euclid Summit, Adria Forum, Zagreb Connect and many others.

The EBAN Winter University 2016, which will be held on April 29 and 30 in the organization of the Croatian Business Angels Network (CRANE) and the City of Zagreb, will have a special influence on the image of Zagreb as a business centre.
